Returns, Warranty & Claims

How returns, replacements and quality claims are handled on MowForge orders. Last updated 7 October 2026.

Scope

This page applies to every order placed with MowForge — the mower blade division of Anhui Boxing Machinery Co., Ltd., Guangde, Anhui, China. We sell B2B: to distributors, importers, OEM brands and service networks. We are not a consumer retailer, so the terms below are commercial terms agreed between us and the buyer named on the order, not a consumer cooling-off guarantee.

Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a business customer in your own country. Where mandatory local law gives you stronger rights than this page does, that law applies.

Before you order

Most claims we see are avoidable, and they nearly always come from one of three things: a part number that does not match the machine, a quantity that does not match the machine's demand, or a size that was agreed verbally rather than written down.

  • Confirm the fit before you order. Send us the OEM part number, or the machine model plus the blade dimensions, and we will confirm the match in writing before you commit. This is the single most effective step against a wrong-part return.
  • Samples first if the application is unusual. MOQ is 300 pieces per model, but we support sample orders. Ask — a sample is far cheaper than a mismatched pallet.
  • Get the price, MOQ, lead time and shipping term in writing. Our quote email states all four. That email is the reference for anything that follows.

Change of mind on a confirmed order

Because blades are made to order against your specification, we cannot take back goods that were produced to your confirmed drawing or part number, or that were cut to a length you specified. Once production starts on a confirmed order, the order is not cancellable and the goods are not returnable.

If you need to change or cancel before production starts, tell us as early as possible. We will do what is possible, but any cost we have already committed (material, tooling set-up, outbound freight booked) may still be charged.

Quality claims — the process

If blades supplied by us fail in normal service, that is a warranty matter, and it is handled as a claim rather than a return. The process is the same every time, so please follow it exactly — it is what lets us act quickly.

  1. Tell us within 30 days of the goods arriving, with your order number.
  2. Send photographs of the failed part, showing the mounting face and the failure. One clear photo of the break tells us more than a paragraph.
  3. Give us the quantity affected and, if it is not the whole shipment, the approximate percentage.
  4. Keep the failed parts. We cannot replace on a photo alone; parts are routinely returned to us or destroyed at our instruction so the failure can be traced.
  5. We respond in writing — usually within 3 business days — with one of: replacement shipped, credit note, or a written explanation of why the claim is not covered.

Where we agree a claim, replacement parts ship with the next production run, or by air freight at our cost, whichever is faster for you. We do not refund the original freight on a replacement — the replacement is the remedy.

What is not a warranty claim

To keep the process fair for everyone, these are outside the warranty:

  • Normal wear — blades dull with use; that is what they are for.
  • Damage from hitting stones, roots, wire, or other foreign objects.
  • Damage from a collision, a cracked spindle, or a machine fault.
  • Fitment problems caused by a part number or size we did not confirm in writing, or that you did not tell us about.
  • Corrosion from storage after delivery — store blades dry, and do not leave them outdoors.

A wrong part number is not a manufacturing defect. If we supplied the part you named, and it is a part we make, it is the right part for that number. If the number you gave was wrong, that is on the specification, and we will help you get the right one — but it is not a claim.

Shortage or damage in transit

Report any shortage or transit damage within 7 days of arrival, with photographs of the outer packaging as well as the contents. Freight is arranged case by case (FOB, CIF, EXW or DDP), and claims must be lodged with the carrier within their own time limits — which is why speed matters. Note the carrier name and tracking number on the bill of lading when your forwarder hands it over.

Custom and OEM parts

Parts made to your drawing, sample or specification follow the same claim process, with one practical difference: we hold the tooling for the life of the model, so if the specification was agreed in writing we can reproduce the part exactly. Keep your drawing and the confirmation email — that is the reference for any future re-order or claim.

How our quality records back this up

Every production batch is hardness-tested and dimensionally inspected before dispatch, with results recorded against the batch — 40Mn / 10B38 material, worked to a 45–50 HRC window. Those records are what a warranty claim is checked against, which is why we ask for the order number and the failure photos: it lets us find the batch in seconds rather than argue about it.

See our Quality Control page for what is checked and recorded.

Changes to this page

We update this page when our process changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we do not apply changes retroactively to orders already shipped.
